Description

All new Green Predator Fly rod built just for Predator Fly Fishing. Will be re-ordered end of February & have a 3 month lead time from the factory.
The rod is a 10# built with: 36T 5 layer South Korean carbon, making it 25% stronger and 15% lighter. Ceramic insert Stripping Guides with ultra light hard Chromed snake eyes and larger than normal tip to allow for better distance casting. Machined aluminium reel seat with two locking rings and Woven Carbon Spacer. The handle is contoured AA+ pure cork, with the usual fighting butt and a hook keep loop just above the main handle. Each rod also comes with a spare tip section and Embroidered Rod Tube.
This is a Fast action rod which is designed to be smooth and powerful, its slim taper to load quickly for excellent distance and presentation.
The rod will be fine to use in saltwater, But I do advise to wash it down in fresh water (along with your reel/lines) after each trip in to the salt to get the longest life span.

Why are you only having a 10# make and not a 9#? Most people do start off with a 9# and can be happy with a 9# for a very long time. I personally use a 10# for all my Pike and small wels Catfish’ing and I know that I can cast bigger flies with ease on my 10# than I can on the 9#s. A lot of people often upgrade from a 9# to a 10# for similar reasons, just make sense to get 10#s made.

10#s are perfect for: Northern Pike, small Wels catfish (under 50lbs), Small Muskie, Peacock Bass, Golden Dorado, Tarpon to name a few.
